Well here we are again, Bills place has another assembly of mad 'Slow' Combat crazy control liners.
The weather was as usual pretty good with a bit of cloud cover and just a slight wind (by Wellington standards anyway!) and most of the usual crowd to fly against. There was a lone member from the South Island in Jon Spain who was on a mission! He has not had a win at Bills place in 2 or 3 outings I believe so Southern pride was on the line. The rest of the field was predominantly north of Bombay people and Glen Lewis from Wellington.

The show was on the road pretty much to schedule (once I had turned up just on the start time!) and the bouts went through really well. The combat was at a high standard and of particular note was the fact that Jon had his first ever win at Bills place! Was this the only win? I think not, after all Jon was on a mission to restore the balance and pride of the south.

The later stages of the contest saw Alistair, Jon, Shaun and Glen still looking hungry and Jon still with no losses! After some 'Tough' combat from Glen, Shaun was on his way. With some bad luck for Alistair the defending champ, Glen went on to face Jon in a final where Jon had two lives! Sadly for Glen, he didn't need any of them winning the final with another trade marked bellcranking!

Well done to Jon, going through with no losses to his name and $100 better off! Thanks to all the hard work put in from the helpers which was pretty much all of us through the day and finished off with a BBQ and a beer! Another great day in Bills back yard!
